The benefits of in-home pet sitting are two-fold. Pets typically experience less stress and separation anxiety when you are away if they remain in the familiar surroundings of their own home. Having someone come into your home periodically also provides a level of security in checking on the home itself, and making it appear to be occupied to outsiders.
